How to: Add a footer to a slide in Slide view or Slide Sorter view.
Solution:
Select the 'View' menu and select 'Header And Footer...'.
1) Open the desired PowerPoint presentation.
2) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Header And Footer...'. (The Header and Footer dialog box appears.)
3) Click 'Slide' tab. (The settings for the Slide pages appear.)

4) Select the 'Footer' check box.
5) Type the desired footer in the 'Footer' box.
6) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Apply to All', to apply the changes to all the slides in the presentation. (The header and footer changes are applied to all slides.)
b) Click 'Apply', to apply the changes to only the current slide. (The header and footer changes are applied to the current slide.)
c) Click 'Cancel', to cancel the changes.
